BIOGRAPHY

Eshwar Ravishankar is an Assistant Professor of Plant Science at CalPoly Pomona, employing computational models to characterize climate-specific controlled environment agriculture operations. He has characterized pathways to achieve net-zero energy greenhouses, with work published in top interdisciplinary journals such as Joule and Energy & Environmental Science and featured in Greenhouse Management and PV Magazine.

Eshwar is currently conducting research targeting workforce development in controlled environment agriculture through digital twins and virtual reality tools, alongside developing a web tool for assessing greenhouse energy consumption.
